Here's the thing...I am not "dieting" on Thanksgiving Day...or for that matter, the whole rest of that weekend. So how could I ask anyone else to do the same? But here's what I will do. I will be as disciplined as possible in the three weeks leading up to Thanksgiving Day, so that I can indulge in the savory goodness and sweet deliciousness without guilt. I will have worked hard, fueled my body, and then...I will FEAST.
This is why my next challenge group is called The Countdown to Turkey Day Challenge. I am hoping I can find a few other people who want to put in the work for three weeks, and then enjoy their Thanksgiving dinners with relish. Not Your Mama's 21 Day Fix Challenge Group
I am really excited for my next challenge group to start! This group is only 21 days and every participant will be doing the 21 Day Fix. The 21 Day Fix has proven very effective and is one of Beachbody's most popular programs. Oh...and it's ON SALE for $140!
The 21 Day Fix challenge pack includes your fitness DVDs, nutrition guide, 30 day supply of Shakeology, and (my favorite part) color-coded containers that are designed to show you how much of each type of food you are allowed to eat for the day. Is that not brilliant?! By following the nutrition program and doing the 30 minute workouts 7 days/week, for 3 weeks, you are bound to see BIG changes.
But I am also really excited for the challenge group I am hosting because I am trying something new! In my typical challenge groups, I post daily in our Facebook group motivation, a fitness or nutrition tip, or recipe, and an assignment. I think that's enough for some people, but I wanted to amp up the accountability for this group. I want people in this group who WANT to change. I want people who are WILLING to commit to the 21 days and go all in. So I am trying something new, and I really believe the participants' results will be bigger and better.

3 Day Refresh Challenge Group Results
I am behind on my blogging, so until now have not posted the results from our 3 Day Refresh Challenge group. Yes, I did post my personal review of the Refresh, but have yet to tell you about the group's results. And they are worth telling!
Nine women and one man did the 3 Day Refresh with me. As a group, the nine women lost 30.5 pounds! That is nearly 3.5 pounds per person! And the man of the group? Are you ready for this?! He lost 8.4 pounds in THREE DAYS! I am so proud of my challengers and the discipline they showed to complete the Refresh.
Beachbod's 3 Day Refresh is definitely the perfect way to reset your system, drop a few pounds, and of course feel refreshed (sorry I couldn't resist)!

3 Day Refresh Challenge Group
On August 18, I am doing a 3 day refresh challenge group followed by 11 days of clean eating, for a total of 2 weeks. I am NERVOUS. I LOVE food, I love eating, and I don't typically like "cleanses".
But I have to say, what's great about the Refresh is that it isn't just juices and shakes. You do get some REAL, WHOLE food. Not a lot...but some! You'll never be so excited about spinach : )
My husband did the Refresh earlier this month and lost 6 pounds! Now he did gain 2-3 pounds back, but he's kept off the rest! That's why I want to follow up the refresh with a clean eating challenge because I believe that will help me and my challengers keep some of that weight off. The Refresh will be a great kick start in to our clean eating, and hopefully some of us will come away with some better eating habits by the end!

My P90X3 Transformation
In February of this year (2014), I started P90X3 and Shakeology and joined a Beachbody challenge group. My daughter, Sienna, was not yet 2 1/2 and my twin sons, Price and Maddox, were 3 months old. Thanks to breastfeeding and pumping, I had already dropped most of my baby weight, but my physique was VERY different. I felt soft and smushy everywhere. I was ready for a change. Thank goodness for P90X3 and Shakeology. I LOVED the program, did not get bored with the program, and was very challenged. Shakeology was a LIFESAVER for me in that it was a quick, easy, and very nutritious meal I could count on every single day. My results came quicker and were better than I ever could have hoped for! I hope this video serves to inspire and give hope to the women out there who are not comfortable in their own skin anymore. That was me too. But I made a change and I am so grateful that I did!

What is a Beachbody Challenge Group?
If you are at all familiar with Beachbody or are friends with a Beachbody coach on Facebook or another social media site, then you have probably heard the term "challenge group" mentioned. What does it mean??
A challenge group is when a group of people commit to doing a Beachbody at-home workout DVD, drinking Shakeology, and checking in with their coach via a closed Facebook group for a specified period of time. Most challenge groups last from 3-4 weeks. In some groups, everyone commits to the same workout program and in others, members can choose any program they would like. As a coach, I use the Facebook group to post fitness and nutrition tips, recipes, inspirational quotes or pictures, and assignments. The group should also be used for the members to post any questions they may have throughout the process, encourage one another, and post their progress.
To be honest, even as a coach, I was skeptical about how effective being a part of a challenge group would be. I wasn't convinced it would truly serve to keep me on track, consistent, and accountable to my workouts and eating habits. I was wrong. I felt very connected to my group and coach. I wanted to make her proud. I felt guilty if I wasn't participating in the group, but to participate, I needed to be doing my workouts and eating healthy! IT WORKED.
Challenge groups are the answer to the accountability question of at-home workouts. As a coach, I act as an online personal trainer for a lot less money than you would pay a trainer at the gym. Thanks to social media, it is VERY easy to connect and stay up to date on everyone and where they are at.
